ABATRACT
The purposes of this research were to 1) develop of the words spelling practice drills in Thai subject for Prathom Suksa 1, with the efficiency criteria of 80/80, 2) compare students’ achievement average scores before and after using the words spelling practice drills and 3) study students’ satisfaction on the words spelling practice drills. the target group included 30 Prathom students studying in Prathom Suksa 1, Bantanonkokyai School under The Office of Buriram Education Area 2. during the second semester of the academic Year 2007, selected through Purposive Sampling Method. The method of the experiment was One Grop Pretest – Posttest Design. The research instrument tools were 1) ten the words spelling practice drills in Thai subject, 2) ten related lesson plans, 3) pretest and posttest with 30 items in each one concerning students’ spelling practice drills, and 4) a rating scaled questionnaire of 10 items to measure the scores’ satisfaction on the words spelling practice drills. The results of research were : 1. The efficiency of the words spelling practice drills in Thai subject was at 85.15/84.56 2. The students’ posttest mean scores were higher than pretest mean scores, at the .01 level of significance. 3. Students were highly satisfied with the words spelling practice drills in Thai subject
